European Nokia Lumai 710 To Get Windows Phone Tango Update Soon

A few days ago info was leaked saying the Chinese version of the Nokia Lumia 710 will be getting Windows Phone Tango update with ROM build of 8773.12111 sometime soon. It came from Nokia’s own servers, where the company puts its updates first, then pushes it out for larger masses. Well, 8773 meant we are dealing with Consumer Release 3 (CR3), which must include many improvements. But as it was shown for the Chinese Lumia 710, there were some anxiety whether the rest of the world will be receiving the update so soon. Now we can breathe easy as other info spotted showing its availability in Europe sometime soon as well.

This time we must thank to Navifirm software, where update details were popped up showing the Belgian local operator, Proximus will be pushing out WP tango update as well. This one has a ROM build of 8773.12120, the firmware version of which is a bit higher than what we have seen on Nokia’s servers.

Well, as for now we can confirm for us the update is almost ready and soon will be on its way, but what we have to be concerned with is the existence of WiFi hotspot functionality, which has been promised to be enabled on the Nokia Lumia 710 and 800. I want to remind you the conversations around the tethering were activated, when it became clear the Nokia Lumia 610 will be launched with it pre-enabled. So we only have to wait for an official statement.
